Inspirational!! Potatoes, Eggs, and Coffee Beans

Have you ever had series of bad moments follow each other and you think you were never good enough for this world?
You have a goal and a wonderful plan to back it up, but then one minute, all is going well and the next you cant seem to get it right no matter how much you try?
Just know this one thing " Change the plan but never the Goal"
This story should help enlighten you.
Once upon a time a daughter complained to her father that her life was miserable and that she didn’t know how she was going to make it. She was tired of fighting and struggling all the time. It seemed just as one problem was solved, another one soon followed.
Her father, a chef, took her to the kitchen. He filled three pots with water and placed each on a high fire. Once the three pots began to boil, he placed potatoes in one pot, eggs in the second pot, and ground coffee beans in the third pot.
He then let them sit and boil, without saying a word to his daughter. The daughter, moaned and impatiently waited, wondering what he was doing.
After twenty minutes he turned off the burners. He took the potatoes out of the pot and placed them in a bowl. He pulled the eggs out and placed them in a bowl.
He then ladled the coffee out and placed it in a cup. Turning to her he asked. “Daughter, what do you see?”
“Potatoes, eggs, and coffee,” she hastily replied.

“Look closer,” he said, “and touch the potatoes.” She did and noted that they were soft. He then asked her to take an egg and break it. After pulling off the shell, she observed the hard-boiled egg. Finally, he asked her to sip the coffee. Its rich aroma brought a smile to her face.
“Father, what does this mean?” she asked.
He then explained that the potatoes, the eggs and coffee beans had each faced the same adversity– the boiling water.
However, each one reacted differently.
The potato went in strong, hard, and unrelenting, but in boiling water, it became soft and weak.
The egg was fragile, with the thin outer shell protecting its liquid interior until it was put in the boiling water. Then the inside of the egg became hard.
However, the ground coffee beans were unique. After they were exposed to the boiling water, they changed the water and created something new.
“Which are you,” he asked his daughter. “When adversity knocks on your door, how do you respond? Are you a potato, an egg, or a coffee bean? “
Moral:In life, things happen around us, things happen to us, but the only thing that truly matters is what happens within us.

Shake off Your Problems

A man’s favorite donkey falls into a deep precipice; He can’t pull it out no matter how hard he tries; He therefore decides to bury it alive.

Soil is poured onto the donkey from above. The donkey feels the load, shakes it off, and steps on it; More soil is poured.

It shakes it off and steps up; The more the load was poured, the higher it rose; By noon, the donkey was grazing in green pastures.

After much shaking off (of problems) And stepping up (learning from them),
One will graze in GREEN PASTURES.

Thandie Newton is dapper in a suit on the cover of The Edit’s latest issue! The 44-year old actress talked to the magazine about how she feels about women shaming, why it’s important to explain sex to your kids and more.
The Westworld star also opened up about the fact that she told her kids that she was sexually abused.

On explaining sex to her kids: “I said, ‘Daddy has a beautiful p*nis, which enters Mama, and these two precious parts of us join together…’ A few days later, Ripley came home from school, saying, ‘Mummy, I had to tell Don he was wrong today. Don said sex is when a man makes his willy go really hard and then beats the woman with it’… Lucky I got to her first.”
On telling her kids she was sexually abused: “I told them that the first time I ever had any sexual encounter, it was abuse. Eventually, my 12-year-old stopped me and said, ‘Mum, don’t worry. I am way cooler than you were at my age.’”
On shaming other women: “Do you know what we need? A word, like misogyny, but for women who despise other women: Femishame?”

Burna Boy, Davido Stars to join 2Face Idibia's noble cause

Burna Boy has sworn allegiance to 2Face Idibia's cause and Davido wants to be a part too.

It's safe to say that 2Face Idibia will not be alone in his cause.

Burna Boy has declared his support for the legendary musician's cause of leading a nationwide protest against the Nigerian governanment.According to him, the Nigerian government has failed its people leading the country into an economic downturn.


2Baba made the announcement earlier via social media, calling other Nigerians to action with his post that read:
"FIRST MASSIVE NATIONWIDE PROTESTS ON THE 5TH OF FEBRUARY, 2017.

"A call for good Governance

"A call for urgent explanation into the reckless economic downturn nationwide.

"A call for nationwide protests as we say No to the Executive, No to legislatures, No to judiciary... You have all failed us.

"We the people are tired. We can no longer continue with all of you. All your excuses and mistakes are not funny. We do not wish to continue with a system and government that is not working but afflicting the people.

"We the people of this country not living under the privileges of government allowances and remuneration have now accepted to take the bull by the horn to come out and protest this obnoxious and baseless policy and excuses of the government of the day.

"Where are the recovered looted funds?"

Why do we still have the executive arms and legislatures still enjoying their salaries and allowances while we hear there's no money to pay workers?

Why do we still see ceaseless power failures with no explanation and hope of getting out of it unlike before?"

Now, Burnaboy has said that he would be joining the protest, proclaiming that he is "ready to die for this sh*t."

He took to Twitter to express his animosity against the Nigerian government, and even knowing that marching in protest has not done much for the country, he would rather try than do nothing

Davido was not left out of the action, as he announced via Twitter that he would also be at the march, telling Burna Boy that he would stand with him.

We can only hope that this is the beginning of a revolution in Nigeria where Nigerians actually stand up and fight back..
